Championship Race #1 Wyre Forest Parkrun

We had a great turnout for our first championship race of 2023 on 11th February. with around 70 members taking part in the 5km trail route. The top three finishers were from CMRC and twelve members attained course PBs. Here are the comments from two of our entrants:

‘A sea-of-red with everyone in their club colours was a very vivid impression. Conditions were good and it was a competitive run. Overall, an excellent club outing,’ said Parkrun regular, Charles Bradley

David Alliston had this to say, ‘I love Parkrun for all sorts of reasons, so running it as part of our CMRC Championship Series was a great opportunity to run with a huge number of club friends. At my age PB’s are not in my thinking but it’s a fabulous and challenging run in the forest. Finishing at the back of the pack to the cheers and applause from other park runners made it a special day.’
