The CMRC championship consists of a range of races, mostly local and low-cost, including local parkruns throughout the year.

Races for 2024 are expected to be:
17 February - Wyre Forest parkrun (5km)
17 March - CANCELLED Droitwich Half Marathon [NEW]
6 April - Worcester Pitchcroft parkrun (5km)
19 May - Great Bristol Run (10km) [NEW - CLUB DAY TRIP]
8 June - Ludlow parkrun (5km)
30 June - ‘Amazing Feet’ Wyre Forest Trail Half Marathon [NEW}
20 July - Severn Valley parkrun (5km)
[xx] August - CANCELLED Tenbury (10km).
25 August - CANCELLED RAF Cosford (10km) [NEW]
15 September - Cookley ‘Round the Wall’ (5km) [NEW]
6 October - Stourport ‘Almost 8’ (8km - ish!) [NEW]
20 October - Bridgnorth (10km).
Rules
The rules for the 2024 season are as follows:
For each race, the top finisher in each category will be awarded 10 points, 2nd finisher 9 points and so on with every eligible member earning a minimum of 2 points per race
There will be four categories, with separate awards made for males and females; under 40, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Age is calculated on the date of the first race of the year (the Wyre Forest parkrun)
You can take part in as many or as few of the races as you like, but only your highest 6 scores will count
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in each category at the end of the year (usually at the Christmas party)
Only full members of CMRC will be included and CMRC must be your first claim club with England Athletics
CMRC kit must be worn for the duration of each race.
